Description
This crispy air fryer sliced potatoes recipe delivers a golden and crunchy texture while staying fluffy on the inside, making it a perfect side dish for any meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium-sized potatoes, washed and sliced thin (Russet or Yukon Gold work best)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (or your preferred cooking oil)
- 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- Β½ teaspoon pepper (freshly ground is best)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Β½ teaspoon paprika
- Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish like parsley or chives)
Instructions
- Wash and scrub your potatoes thoroughly. Slice them into thin rounds, about 1/4 inch thick.
- If you have time, soak the potato slices in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- After soaking, drain and pat dry the potato slices with a kitchen towel.
- In a mixing bowl, add your potato slices, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss until every slice is evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400Β°F (200Β°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- After 12 minutes, check the potatoes. If they arenβt golden and crispy yet, give them a few more minutes.
- Once done, remove the potatoes from the air fryer, sprinkle fresh herbs if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
Keep an eye on them during the last few minutes; they can go from perfectly crispy to overdone quickly.
