Description

This crispy air fryer sliced potatoes recipe delivers a golden and crunchy texture while staying fluffy on the inside, making it a perfect side dish for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, washed and sliced thin (Russet or Yukon Gold work best)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or your preferred cooking oil)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • Β½ teaspoon pepper (freshly ground is best)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Β½ teaspoon paprika
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish like parsley or chives)

Instructions

  1. Wash and scrub your potatoes thoroughly. Slice them into thin rounds, about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. If you have time, soak the potato slices in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. After soaking, drain and pat dry the potato slices with a kitchen towel.
  4. In a mixing bowl, add your potato slices, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss until every slice is evenly coated.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400Β°F (200Β°C) for about 5 minutes.
  6. Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  7. After 12 minutes, check the potatoes. If they aren’t golden and crispy yet, give them a few more minutes.
  8. Once done, remove the potatoes from the air fryer, sprinkle fresh herbs if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Keep an eye on them during the last few minutes; they can go from perfectly crispy to overdone quickly.
