Lemon Cheesecake Crescent Rolls

  • Author: Rachel Summers
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 rolls 1x

Description

These easy lemon cheesecake crescent rolls feature a tangy, creamy filling wrapped in flaky, golden pastry. Ready in just 30 minutes, they’re perfect for brunch, dessert, or a sweet snack and loved by kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar (optional, for sprinkling)
  • 1/2 tsp extra lemon zest (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, 2 tbsp sugar, egg yolk, vanilla extract, lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  3. Open crescent roll package and separate triangles. Lay them flat on the lined baking sheet.
  4. Spoon about 1 heaping tablespoon of lemon cheesecake mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Spread slightly, keeping filling away from edges.
  5. Roll each triangle from the wide end toward the point, tucking the point underneath and curving ends to make a crescent shape.
  6. Brush each roll with melted butter. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp sugar and extra lemon zest if desired.
  7. Bake for 13–15 minutes, until rolls are puffed and golden brown.
  8. Let rolls cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and fresh lemon zest. Keep crescent dough chilled for easier handling. Avoid overfilling to prevent leaks. Rolls are best served warm but can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 1 month. Reheat in the oven for crispiness. For gluten-free or dairy-free versions, substitute with appropriate dough and cream cheese.
